At OK Beta, sincere friendship is rooted in our sisterhood! It is seen through supporting one another, celebrating the special moments in our lives, growing with each other, showing PPLAM always + so much more! One of our favorite parts of this sisterhood is the strong big/little relationships that are formed! Hear from one of our very own members on her experience with big/little and sincere friendships in Pi Phi!

"Big/Little was one of the aspects I was so excited to hear was a big deal in Pi Phi. I never have had a sister, but I have always been jealous of sister relationships. So when it was time to start thinking about big/little, I immediately thought back to the first Pi Phi I talked to during recruitment, Elli. I remember how she had made me feel during the first round of recruitment and since being a new member. I already looked up to her as I saw the friend she was to others and how well she loved on me from the beginning. Elli and I went on a coffee date and talked for hours about all the things! After that, I knew Elli would be the perfect big, mentor and friend. From recruitment to now she constantly has been an attentive and loving friend and is always a joy to be around. Plus she is just as passionate about the color pink as I am, which is a bonus in my eyes! The sisterly advice I had always wanted comes from Elli often. When the first really bad college test score came back Elli had the right words to make it all a bit better. All of my silly questions about Pi Phi and school in general Elli was always there to answer. She quickly became a constant in my life and someone that I knew I could always count on! Little did I know, that first conversation with Elli wouldn’t be the last comforting conversation I needed! Describing Elli as just my big in Pi Phi doesn’t do her justice. In such a short period of time, she has easily become one of my best friends! She is always a smiling face and such a joy in my life. I know it's always going to be a good day whenever I have a little date planned with Elli. Whether it's ice cream or errands our time together is my favorite. She is an intentional friend and the best role model. Elli was my biggest blessing freshman year and I am beyond thankful to know she will for sure be in my life forever!"
